A librarian may also be able to choose whether or not to display a link to an advanced search screen on the basic search screen. Figure 6.6 contains an example of the customer view of a basic search screen configured to include a basic search box, the content provider’s logo, a link to the advanced search screen, a link to search history, and a list of additional search options including both more complex search modes and limiters. It also includes a link that allows customers to choose the database that they wish to search in from among those databases published by this content provider and subscribed by this library. The function may also allow the customer to search in multiple databases (databases published by this content provider and subscribed by this library) with a single search.
